The following three integrated lesson ideas will demonstrate both plugged (DLCS standards that use a computer or other electronic device)  and unplugged (DLCS standard that can be carried out with no outside device needed). You will see both digital literacy and computer science skills covered in these examples.

Now it's your turn. Refer back to the Alabama DLCS course of study (click on the button above) and look over the standards for grades 3 through 5. After a thorough review of the standards, develop an idea for a lesson plan or plans that will address both digital literacy and computer science standards. This can be an applicable lesson plan that you find online or you may develop your own lesson. Post your lesson idea and any additional resources related to the lesson on the Padlet board below. This board will develop into a live document that you can use as a resource for ideas and lessons as you begin to implement these standards into your curriculum.
